If you don't like the slow start of your PC from an HDD you might prefer the jump start from an SSD. ICY BOX IB-2217 is the right mobile rack for your SSD (or a 2.5" HDD).

The small brother
The IB-2217aStS offers place for one 2.5" SATA SSD or HDD and it is built into one 3.5" bay in the PC. The SSD/HDD are installed without a tray and therefore also without the use of any tool.

Safe as well
Even though the IB-2217aStS offers place for only one HDD, it still is safe. A lock is available to keep unauthorized persons away and the clamp holds the HDD safely in place, while internally, the HDD is connected with a SATA connector and the LED is connected seperately with a 4-pin connector.

Cool and stable
The frame is made out of metal while the front panel is made out of high quality aluminium. Metals are known for their excellent heat conduction (passive convection). This provides a lower temperature without a need of a fan.
